GLOW Parade Float

GLOW Great Ladies of Waterloo began in September of 2011. A few ladies with a vision to network with other women business owners and support our community joined together to form this group. GLOW began with 7 core ladies and have currently grown to over 100 members. The purpose of GLOW is to build relationships and strengthen our community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. Their Vision: That all children achieve success in life. They are the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois

Martha's Kitchen

Martha’s Kitchen/Mary’s Heart is a weekly, free community meal held at 6 p.m. EVERY Monday, Martha’s Kitchen/Mary’s Heart is often attended by up to 50 diners. Some of the dinner guests come for fellowship because they are alone, others come because money is a little tight, and others may come for different reasons.

Waterloo Pumpkinfest Lamp Post Contest

Waterloo Pumpkinfest is an event that features 100+ vendors selling clothing, accessories, home decor, jewelry, and more! Several local businesses and community organizations host games for the kids to play and there are lots of pumpkin-themed contests and activities throughout the day.

Turtle Creek Trail in Lakeview Park

Lakeview Park is located off Lakeview Drive southwest of Waterloo and is comprised of about 100 acres. The park has a 2.25 mile paved walking trail, modern playground equipment, and three large lakes that are open for fishing.

At the back of the park is the Turtle Creek Trail. The trail has two entrances/exits, which are maintained thoughout the year by the Rotary Club of Monroe County. Our club also donated the benches at the enterance of the trail.
